INTERA Incorporated is seeking a Talent Acquisition Recruiter to join our team and take an active role in building and strengthening the company’s talent acquisition program. This role is well-suited for a proactive, strategic, and builder-minded recruiting professional who takes initiative, brings structure to evolving processes, and is motivated by the opportunity to make a lasting impact. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical or scientific recruiting background to support the recruitment of highly specialized professionals across engineering, geoscience, environmental science, and corporate disciplines. This position will serve as a strategic talent partner to hiring managers and business leadership, helping develop scalable recruiting practices, cultivate long-term talent pipelines, and attract top-tier talent aligned with INTERA’s mission, values, and technical excellence. In addition to a competitive base salary, this role offers incentive compensation tied to successful hires and meaningful recruiting impact.

This position combines deep recruiting expertise with the ability to understand complex technical roles, proactively source talent, and deliver a best-in-class candidate and hiring-manager experience. This role is ideally based in one of INTERA’s office locations in Austin, TX; Albuquerque, NM; Denver, CO; Bloomington, IN; or Richland, WA, providing opportunities for in-person collaboration and connection with our teams. INTERA also values flexibility and is open to considering fully remote candidates located elsewhere in the United States who bring the right experience, initiative, and long-term commitment to the role.


Responsibilities

The Talent Acquisition Recruiter will report to INTERA’s Chief People Officer.

Recruiting

  • Partner closely with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, technical requirements, and role priorities
  • Translate business and project needs into effective recruiting strategies and realistic hiring timelines
  • Advise leaders on labor market trends, competitive intelligence, and talent availability within technical/scientific fields
  • Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies using LinkedIn, professional associations, technical networks, and industry-specific platforms
  • Attend and represent INTERA at career fairs, professional conferences, university recruiting events, and industry networking forums
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for hard-to-fill and mission-critical technical roles
  • Cultivate long-term relationships with passive candidates and industry professionals
  • Draft, post, and manage job postings across multiple platforms, ensuring alignment with INTERA’s employment brand and equal employment opportunity commitments
  • Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and assess technical and cultural fit
  • Coordinate and manage interview schedules, ensuring a seamless and professional candidate experience.
  • Facilitate interview feedback and guide hiring teams toward timely, well-informed hiring decisions.
  • Manage internal employee referral program and other internal recruiting initiatives

Offers, Onboarding & Benefits Communication

  • Prepare and produce offer letters in collaboration with the line of business leadership and Human Resources, ensuring alignment with approved compensation, hiring terms, and internal processes
  • Communicate compensation, benefits, and employment terms clearly and confidently to candidates
  • Serve as a trusted resource to candidates regarding INTERA’s benefits, total rewards, and workplace culture
  • Partner with HR colleagues to support a smooth onboarding transition from offer acceptance through first day

Employer Branding & Continuous Improvement

  • Promote INTERA’s culture, values, and mission as an employer of choice in the scientific and engineering community
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of recruiting processes, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and candidate quality
  • Track recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, source effectiveness, candidate experience) and provide insights to leadership
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws, regulations, and internal policies

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of corporate or technical recruiting experience
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit for highly specialized technical roles
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with senior leaders and candidates alike
     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous recruiting experience within consulting, engineering, geoscience, or environmental services organizations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in technical, scientific, engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms
  • Knowledge of compensation practices and benefits communication in a professional services environment


Expected Annual Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000, depending upon degree and experience
Additional compensation opportunities available through a recruiter incentive program tied to successful hires.
