INTERA is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Water Resources Engineer with experience in water utility planning, engineering, operations, and regulatory compliance and permitting. In this role, you will manage and support a wide variety of multidisciplinary projects for INTERA’s clients nationwide, with a focus on the Texas market. Your work will contribute to INTERA’s Utility Market Strategy, including supporting business development and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a project manager or technical lead for water supply projects, coordinating multidisciplinary teams to deliver work on schedule and within budget
- Plan and execute water supply studies, including evaluation of alternatives, conceptual design, cost estimating, and economic analysis
- Manage projects involving the design, permitting, bidding, and construction oversight of groundwater wells and related infrastructure
- Advise clients on water supply strategies and develop clear, accurate scopes of work and budgets
- Present findings and recommendations to clients, colleagues, and stakeholders
- Review technical reports and analyses prepared by engineers and scientists
- Mentor and support junior staff
Required Qualifications
- Broad experience in water utility planning and water supply development, including water quality, treatment, infrastructure, operations, permitting, and regulatory compliance
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or water resources engineering, hydrogeology, or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas, having an active NCEES record is preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including work with public and private water utilities or providers
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Proven project and client management experience
- Clear, concise technical and non-technical writing skills
- Strong organizational, planning, and time management abilities
