INTERA Incorporated is seeking a Hydrogeologist to join our growing group of environmental professionals in our Richland, Washington, office. This position provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced environmental science professional to grow technically and further their career working on many types of challenging environmental projects.
Job Description
Provide hydrogeologic data analysis and interpretation support to INTERA projects. A key responsibility of this position is to develop conceptual site models (CSMs) for a variety of environmental modeling projects, including fate and transport of contaminants in the vadose zone and groundwater. Must be able to provide interpretation of borehole logs, driller notes, geophysical logs, and other information with the objective of constructing a defensible conceptual site model. Performance of groundwater and/or vadose zone modeling tasks is not required but would be considered a plus. Must be able to work with minimal supervision on a variety of other groundwater and soil related projects and investigations. Other job duties may include report preparation and technical presentations.
Required Qualifications
- Two to five years of applicable experience preferred, with primary emphasis on hydrogeologic interpretation.
- BA/BS degree in engineering or geology required. MS degree in geology or hydrogeology with an emphasis on quantitative evaluations, GIS, or solid models desired.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
