Groundwater Performance Assessment Modeler 20-05-WA03

Job Description

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide support for our Performance Assessment (PA) projects under the direction of INTERA’s senior modelers. The position requires knowledge of stochastic simulation, flow and transport modeling, sensitivity, and uncertainty analysis. Other job duties will include working to quality assurance / quality control procedures for modeling, modeling report preparation, and technical presentations to clients, regulators, and other interested parties.

Required Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Engineering
  • Course work in statistics
  • Course work or experience in subsurface flow and transport modeling

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS/Ph.D. in Hydrogeology or a similar field with an emphasis in groundwater/vadose zone hydrology or numerical modeling
  • Hands-on experience in developing and implementing numerical models
  • Experience with stochastic simulation
  • Familiarity with GoldSim simulation software
