 We are offering a paid summer internship opportunity for an aspiring Programmer interested in being a part of the largest environmental cleanup in U.S History. Our Programmer Intern will be assisting the development of applications to support modeling and risk assessment activities at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Hanford Site. You would be working out of our Richland, Washington, office with our team of esteemed environmental professionals and programmers.

Job Description

You will work closely with our programming team of six to develop applications that help INTERA’s engineers distill, visualize, and communicate scientific data. In return, you will be introduced to all aspects of full-stack programming commonly encountered at a mid-sized engineering firm including database design and management, server-side processing, web-based application design, and technical writing.

This is a paid internship with a rate of $20 per hour. 

Required Qualifications

  • Stellar interpersonal skills including oral and written communications
  • An interest in full-stack development and an aptitude for learning new skills
  • Familiarity with at least one scripting language (Python, SQL, or JavaScript are preferred)

You must be working towards a college degree but all majors are encouraged to apply
