In this position you will be responsible for creating, editing, and polishing our technical documents to ensure that they represent INTERA’s high standards for quality and our commitment to deliver exceptional products to our clients. You will also support our technical and administrative staff with a variety of tasks around the office.

Responsibilities

Our Technical Editor / Office Assistant will support our Mining and Environmental line of business in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with the following tasks:

  • Editing documents to improve readability and ensure consistency
  • Coordinating the development of complex documents with multiple authors
  • Providing word processing and document formatting for technical reports, work plans, memorandums, presentations, and other communications
  • Collaborating with technical personnel to ensure documents are accurate, visually engaging, and highly compelling
  • Providing QA/QC support
  • Coordinating production of documents and electronic deliverables
  • Supporting electronic approval, client document clearance, and submission to government administrative records for finished documents
  • Greeting clients and distributors as needed
  • Supporting technical and office staff to optimize processes 
  • Assist with other tasks as needed

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, or a related field
  • 2 – 5 years or more of experience as a technical writer/editor
  • Superior communication and organization skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to multitask and meet challenging deadlines
  • Self-directed and able to complete projects with limited supervision
  • Able to provide samples of prior work to demonstrate experience, if asked

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in office administration or customer service
